Hello and welcome to Titans Ladies Invitational
It is indeed an honour to represent the Titan Ladies. Let me firstly thank our past Captain Fay for her sterling and brilliant leadership in having kept us going. My mission is to recruit new women and grow the group. And to achieve that we need to continue being a welcoming and friendly group which is exactly what we are. Golf is fun and we need to enjoy it and after the competitions, to interact with the men for some good humour, chatter, copious amounts of drinks and fine fellowship! I look forward to representing you on the IOC. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank our hero, the Men’s Captain Ben Chadwick who has agreed to assist with the ladies handicaps and this website. Let’s get 2021 off to a great start! Our History
In 2007, the Titans Men invited ladies to join them every Saturday at Dukes Meadows, Chiswick for the Par 3 9-hole Invitational. In 2009, Frank Walters, Titans Men’s President invited the Ladies to set up their own 18-hole tour. We have continued to play 4 joint events a year:
• the Founders Trophy, kick off summer season (February / March)
• the Spring Super Titans (early June)
• the Autumn Super Titans (early September)
• the Ray Kalnins Memorial Trophy (October), which is the end of season wrap-up with dinner and prize giving
For 2020, all the Ladies monthly games will play at the same courses as the Men – either following or preceding them, but playing separately (other than the four events above which are mixed).
These events are quite unusual in the golfing world – is men and ladies playing together – and one of the characteristics that makes the Titans unique and fun.
